Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor. Job duties will be operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil: plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, John Deere R series Sprayers, John Deere R series tractor, and John Deere Excavators. Work on Center pivot irrigation systems and service them along with the placement of irrigation pipe. Perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and doing minor repairs to farm machinery and driving grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area on/off the farm, within 30 miles round trip, not crossing state lines and no CDL required. Workers with driver license may be asked to drive workers from/to housing, worksite, and grocery store.

Special Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years or older. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of 3 months experience in planting, cultivating, and harvesting soybeans, cotton, corn, and rice is required. Valid drivers license required to operate the companys vehicles. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Employer may conduct a criminal background check on all new applicants at the employers expense. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet and outdoors. Workers may stand in one place for any period. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach and lift. Work is performed in outdoor agricultural fields and involves exposure to sun, wind, rain, soil, mud, dust, heat, cold, and other natural elements.
