Job description

Perform duties on a farm like: Attach implements to tractor; Cultivate crops; Drive and operate Farm Machinery; Drive grain trucks; Harvest crops; Operate towed equipment to plant crops; Operate towed equipment to cultivate crops; Plant crops; Plow soil; Till Soil; Transport crops to elevator/storage area; Use GPS autosteer systems; Use forklift; Apply pesticides/herbicides to crops; Apply fertilizers to crops; Clean bins; Load grain trucks; Clean and Maintain grounds/facilities; Maintain/inspect and repair fences; Mix materials/chemicals for planter/sprayer; Incidental equipment cleaning; Incidental repainting; Changing oil as needed; Thorough Repairs; Welding and Fabricating as it pertains to maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings and fences; Sanding/Grinding; Assist in repairing equipment if needed; driving equipment to and from fields. Equipment: Tractors, combines, tillage equipment, sprayers, trucks, seeding tools/planters Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently Transportation provided to jobsite from central location

Special Requirements

Experience as Ag Equipment Operator May be required to take post hire random drug and/or alcohol tests, at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. May be required to submit a post hire employer paid criminal background check. Failure to comply or felony convictions that the employer reasonably believes will impair safety of others on the worksite will result in immediate termination.
