Job description
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include black angus cattle; Duties include feeding,
watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, loading animals; Maintain records on
animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications,
vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Haul feed, grain, and cattle/commodities to
market; Assist with live births; Break ice in stock takes, thaw frozen lines; Inspect, maintain,
prepare, repair items including feeding/watering equipment, gating; Push and scrape manure
and perform dirt work in fields; Provide mineral to cattle; Must speak English.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies.
Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the
worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean
driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
