Job description
Operating large farm equipment and machinery some of which is equipped with GPS for
cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, moving, storing, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops
such as rice, and soybeans.
Walking fields pulling off type weeds.
Assisting with the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems for watering crops.
Load and unload bagged rice.
Cleaning applicators and bagging rice area.
Daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.
Driving farm vehicle.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months minimum verifiable experience required.
Workers must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days following hire.
Some job duties require physical and manual labor and will require extensive sitting, walking, pushing and pulling, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements.
Work duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 75 lbs.
The Arkansas summers are very hot and humid and workers will be exposed to extreme temperatures and humid conditions.
The employer has a strict policy prohibiting drug and alcohol use. Work on the farm involves operating tools, equipment and machinery - driving and operating these equipment under the influence of drugs/alcohol may cause serious and fatal accidents. Any drug testing will be post-hire and at the expense of the employer. Positive testing will result in termination of employment.
