Job description

Workers will operate tractors, dozers to pull air carts, plows, and drills. Swath and bale hay. Drive farm vehicles to pull hay vans while feeding cattle. Operate, repair farm implements. Clean grain bins, sweep/clean shop area, build/maintain fences. May be required to do minor handy-man work using tools such as hammer, screw driver, drills, and saws. Repair existing barn roofs on ranch. Trim trees using mechanized bucket truck, load debris and haul off. Paint barns, pipe fence, etc. throughout ranch. General clean up. This would include demolition of old structures, haul off of debris. Crops: Wheat, B Dahl, and Coastal.

Workers who possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver’s license or doctor’s certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise.

Special Requirements

Workers are not permitted to be under the influence of intoxicants of any kind during working hours. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid random, upon suspicion, and/or post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
Employer requires all-newly hired employees to take and pass an employer-paid background check due to responsibility of operating equipment. All background checks are conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hire.
