Job description
Perform duties such as drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disk and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate. Install and maintain crop irrigation system including laying poly pipe, spill rods, levee gates and shoveling levees. Maintain power units and irrigation systems. Load and unload grain and fertilizer at storage facilities. Use loading equipment including forklifts, augers, conveyor belts and grain decks. Sweep and shovel grain bins. Mix, load, haul chemicals and fertilizer for applicators. Tow harvest equipment. Drive trucks to transport crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Mow and maintain farm service roads. Service, wash and maintain farm machinery, equipment and vehicles. Repair buildings, fences and other structures on property and other farm related duties. Must be willing to work long hours including weekends. Must be a team player, listen well, accept instruction and work with minimum supervision. Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
