Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, fertilize, spray, and store grain crops, and operate sprayer and fertilizer equipment. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, other tractors, sprayers, and floaters. Haul fertilizer to farm fields or storage areas with farm equipment or semi trucks. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks/ semi's to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Maintain general grain equipment and grain storage buildings. Must be able to do building maintenance to keep a clean work environment in equipment and or buildings and living accommodations.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
