Farm Worker

Job description

Job duties include the operation of tractors with various implements, sprayers, dump trucks, backhoes, front end loaders, combines, and other farm equipment to prepare land and till soil and plant, irrigate, spray, cultivate, and harvest crops. Job will require loading planters with seed; loading sprayers with chemical; working with irrigation equipment such as irrigation pipe and well motors; laying irrigation pipe in fields; walking the length of irrigation pipe to puncture it at set intervals; performing repair and maintenance on field equipment; performing routine service on farm vehicles; changing tires; cleaning and maintaining farm shop and work areas; painting farm structures; using hand tools in fields to remove weeds and other undesirable plants; using hand tools to repair equipment;

Daily duties may vary depending on crop condition and weather. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.

Special Requirements

3 months of experience, the ability to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire if applicant does not already have one; and basic English literacy, reading, and math skills are required.
