Job description

Move cattle from summer pasture in October. Feeding cattle. Vaccinating cattle. Pregnancy checks. Hauling water to cattle. Working cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding maintenance. Maintaining winter pasture fences. Checking cattle for injuries/illness. Opening frozen tanks/springs. Prepping barns for calving. Prepping hay equipment. Branding cattle. Ship cattle to market. Calving. Move cattle to summer pasture at the end of the season, in mid-April. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Must be able to lift a 75 pound calf. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
