Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to the preparation of livestock: Repairing gravel quarries, land leveling and reclamation. Repair our cattle equipment including Gehl forage feeder wagon, big bale grinder, feed grinder, and existing feed bunks. Repair fences and cattle sheds on 3 feedlot areas. Repair fence, add new inside pens, and divide outside areas. One lot just needs small repairs but the other two spots have not had cattle for over 10 years and need new fences and pens. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must work well with co-workers and farm owners. Must be able to take direction and ask questions when clarification is needed. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
