Perform farm duties related to worm production and raising: clean and prepare tanks and feeding equipment; feed worms. Harvest live worms. Work on production line. Sort worms on conveyor belt, removing foreign materials by hand. Fill bins/trays and other containers with worms. Follow quality control standards and production procedures. Handle worms carefully to prevent death or injury. Fill machines with worm casting, using a loader. Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies. Palletize and stack boxes/containers. Shrink wrap pallets. Use power equipment including, but not limited, to: fork lifts, conveyor belts, and cooling equipment/refrigeration units. Operate equipment safely, with or without direction. Assist with regular maintenance on equipment. Clean/sanitize work station and equipment. Maintain clean working environment. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Use power equipment including but not limited to: tractors, planters, mowers, plows, sprayers, cultivators, power shears, chain saws, high lifts, fork lifts, skid loaders. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction.
Build/repair new farm buildings and structures on farm property. Build/repair fences. Mow, cut, and weed fields. Use hand tools including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Install concrete walls. Install doors, steel frames, plastic coverings, shade cloth, caulking structures, irrigation systems, and other fixtures. Install HVAC systems, heaters, fans, electrical and/or propane systems. Clean and prepare building site, dig trenches, set braces to support excavation, and erect scaffolding. Remove rubble, debris, and other waste materials. Operate construction tools and equipment including, but not limited to, air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment. Use and operate and tools, equipment, and instruments safely, with or without direction.
May assist with harvesting of corn.
Work is done in the warehouse for long periods of time. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 60 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet. Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking. Work may be required outdoors during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures outdoors during working hours can range from 10 to over 100 degrees F. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop outdoor operations. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, honey bees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or related chemicals may affect a worker’s ability to perform the job. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations.

Employees must not report for work, enter the employers’ property or perform work while under the influence of or having used alcohol, marijuana, illegal controlled substances, or any other substance that may in any way adversely affect alertness, coordination, reaction time or safety.
Employer requires all newly-hired employees to take and pass an employer-paid drug test before starting work. Drug test not required for prospective applicants prior to hiring decision. All testing is conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hire. Workers testing positive will be immediately terminated and paid for all hours worked between the first date of employment and the date of termination, if any.
Requerimientos
This job requires a minimum of 3 months of agricultural experience handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Employer-paid pre-employment and post-hire drug testing required. Sex offender background check required.
