Job description

Job duties for Rooker Training Stable's breeding operations include the breeding, foaling, weaning, caring, and raising of the breeding stock. Assist in raising young stock: caring for foals; handling young stock for initial handling, including halter breaking, and leading; and weaning mares and foals at appropriate intervals. Assist in general care for breeding/young stock: monitoring and maintaining adequate feed and water levels for breeding/young stock housed inside and outside; daily monitoring of general health of all breeding/young stock; assisting farrier with handling breeding/young stock for routine farrier work; maintain and repair stable grounds used for breeding/young stock.
