Job description
Employees will need to assist with the cow/calf operation from December until May 1. Cows will be kept at a calving yard for calving season from December until May 1. Daily duties will include feeding, bedding, checking animals and keeping calving records. Employees will also be operating a skid loader, tractor and feed wagon will be used for mixing and delivering feed to animals. Workers may be asked to take a turn at checking during the night hours and assist cows with birthing and deliveries as needed.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 75 lbs calf. Requires a regular drivers license and 3 months experience.
