Job description

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse including: Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures such as housing, barns, bins; Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping such as trash cleanup & disposal, rock picking, weed trimming, lawn mowing, washing equipment, floors & buildings; Maintain operational records of biosecurity protocols and visitor logs; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment such as elevators, augers, sweeps, fans, floors, & loadouts; Set up and operate irrigation & manure equipment including drainage tile; Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, manure, gypsum, lime, and other materials to condition; Clear snow and ice; Attend to live farm animals; Perform herd health & care, vaccinations, euthanasia; Keep herd fed & watered regularly; Remove & compost dead loss; Wean baby pigs; Occasional delivery & pickup that requires workers to be on duty beyond the end of the normal work day is possible; however, employer will pay for all hours worked and provide any necessary meals while workers move to and from these locations; workers will always return to the employer provided housing listed on form ETA 790A.
