Job description
General worker needed for rice & crawfish farm. Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maintenance, fertilize, plant and harvest of crops. Field prep includes manual shovel work and hoeing of weeds, spot spray and general farm labor. Help repair and maintain bins, farm, fences, field, equipment, levees, roads and shop, laser levelling, load and unload trucks. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, bait and check traps; operate motorized crawfish boat. Grade and wash crawfish for shipment, make and repair traps as needed. All tools, supplies & equipment furnished at no cost. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Job involves frequent stooping, lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements and working outside in inclement weather. The worker (s) may be requested but not required to work more than 6 hours per day and/or the Sabbath depending upon the conditions at the worksite, weather, and maturity of the crop. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience, may be subject to random drug screen paid by employer upon hire or if suspicions arise--this is a drug free work zone. Must have legal authority to work in the U.S.
