Job description
Perform general livestock tasks such as feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading animals.
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries; assisting in birthing, administering medication, vaccinations, or insecticides.
Maintaining animal housing areas - cleaning stalls and sheds using disinfectant solutions, brushes and shovels.
Drive trucks, tractors and other equipment to distribute feed to animals.
Maintain ranch equipment.
Special Requirements
A minimum of 3 (three) months verifiable experience with no minimum education is required.
Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60lbs. Most work is performed outdoors and workers will be exposed to cold and wet conditions.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
