Job description

Job duties include the operation of farm equipment including tractors with various implements, sprayers, mowers, and other large farm equipment to assist with tilling soil and prepping fields and planting, spraying, irrigating, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Job will require servicing, cleaning, and performing maintenance on all field equipment; maintaining turnrows, grass, and tree lines around fields; maintaining and repairing irrigation equipment such as irrigation pipe and well motors; walking fields puncturing irrigation pipe and removing irrigation pipe from fields when necessary; lifting and loading seed bags into planters; cleaning and maintaining farm shop areas; transporting water to spray rig; using hand tools in fields to repair equipment and remove any undesirable weeds and plants; working with augers and grain bins to empty grain into trucks for transportation; sweeping grain bins; using shovels to remove grain that cannot be removed by augers. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having, or being able to obtain, a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Drug screening may be possible post-hire at the employer's expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers. Position will require being capable of lifting 50 lbs, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending over, and performing repetitive movements. Workers will be performing job duties outdoors during the summer during which temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
