Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor. Applicants must be 18 years or older. Minimum of 3 months experience required. Must be able to obtain an Arkansas driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. Duties may vary from time to time. Workers primary responsibility will be driving semi-trucks with hopper trailers from harvest site to on farm bin location or from harvest site; closely monitor road signs and conditions; check equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order; inspect load. During period of little to no hauling, workers will be expected to perform manual labor tasks associated with fall harvest which may include driving a tractor and grain cart, as well as other miscellaneous duties in and around the shop, including but not limited to small tool work, torch welding, machinery repair, and other daily maintenance. A basic working knowledge of farm implement maintenance is preferred, with the ability to perform these duties as needed, in a field or shop setting, with little to no supervision. Must be able to lift 75lbs. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to the workers. General Specifications and Physical Requirements of the Job Work requires repetitive movements, excessive sitting, climbing in and out of large vehicles, and could require the worker to be on ones feet for extended periods of time. Workers should be able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodations. Proper work attire is required. No personal cell phone usage on the job. Cell phone use should be limited to contact with the supervisor and other employees as necessary to perform job duties.
