Responsible for the execution of landscape improvements, enhancements, and day to day maintenance for 140+ acres of K.I.G.R. property. All aspects of landscape maintenance, which include, but are not limited to: Policing grounds for trash, litter, and debris, planting bed maintenance, enhancement bed maintenance and installation, pruning, mowing, chemical application, (staff will not be mixing any chemicals. This is done by our Permanent staff that is licensed to mix chemicals. The workers will follow the direction, guidelines and safety requirements for application of chemicals and fertilizer.) irrigation maintenance, rake sand traps, and walk greens and tees, edging irrigation heads, valve boxes, uses Flymo and Weed Eater to trim course. Set up golf course – changes cup locations and tee markers daily. Top dress greens and tees, place sod as needed. Assist golf superintendents in monitoring conditions of golf course. Able to learn all aspects of course maintenance. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop and reach. Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions thought entire shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
Minimum 35 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. Shifts: 6:30 am – 3pm M-F and occasional Saturdays. Hours and shifts may vary with weather and occupancy.
Basic wage range $17.00/hr. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $25.50 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Pay received bi-weekly.
Must be able to work at least a 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as required. Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
