Job description

Moving cattle home from summer pasture to cornstalks in October. Fall cattle work/pregnancy checking. Weaning. Feeding cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Hauling water to heifers. Prepping ranch barns and calving pastures for freeze. Opening frozen water tanks. Snow removal. Shipping calves to market. Moving cattle to calving pastures in February. Prep barns and cattle for calving. Calving begins at the end of February through May. Cleaning barns. Prepping hay equipment. Fencing summer pastures. Branding cattle. Moving cattle to temporary grazing pastures until grass pasture at the beginning of May/beginning of June.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
