Job description
This is a temporary mechanical position to ensure all equipment is ready for a large upcoming
project. This job requires deep understanding of mechanical work as the duties will far exceed
basic maintenance and repairs. Performs the following duties: Post and preseason inspections,
maintenance, assembly, and winterization of all agricultural equipment and facilities. Inspect
and/or replace air conditioning, brake systems, coupling devices, electrical systems, engine,
exhaust system, frame, fuel system, hydraulics, lighting devices, steering system, suspension
system, tires, transmission system, wheels and rims, windshield & wipers, battery, brake
components, electronics, engine components, filters, oil, fluid and lubricants, seals. Workers
may assist in building new trailers, motor overhauling, and the erection of a new workshop.
Workers may need to engage in snow removal to recover equipment that needs to be moved
to the heated shop. Drive to town to pick up mechanical parts.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within
30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to
extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required.
Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory.
