Job description
This is the off-season for the Employer's Clients, so much of the work is in preparation for the upcoming busy season. Workers will have a focus on the food processing and preparation of sauces and condiments that the Employer creates in house and then packages in sachets and cases for wider distribution and use in the upcoming industry busy season. Workers will be required to engage in a variety of general food preparation and processing activities as a byproduct of this process. Workers will operate food preparation and processing equipment including automatic packaging machines, sauce mixers, ingredient tumblers and grinders in a commercial food preparation and processing facility. This may include the preparation of individual ingredients (ex. mixing barbeque sauce and mincing onions that will be used as an added ingredient). Workers will also be required to clean and maintain food preparation and processing areas as well as the utensils, tools and equipment used in these areas. Workers will assist in the receiving of deliveries to the facility, operating push carts and pallet jacks and assisting with the transport of products from the food preparation and processing facility to storage or other locations. In a limited manner, workers may be asked to assist with preparing food(s) (some basic cooking) that are sold for pickup or delivery from the central food preparation and processing facility (as opposed to the Employer's normal mobile food truck operation). Workers will also engage in the arrangement and re-stocking of inventory and storage areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand and walk briskly for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions, including hot, cold, rainy, snowy and sunny conditions. Must be able to spend time in freezers, refrigerators and hot and noisy food preparation and processing facilities and work environments.

For that reason, workers will have a focus on the preparing of sauces and condiments that the Employer creates in house and then packaging those items in the proper container(s). This may include the preparation of individual ingredients (ex. mincing onions that will be used for a sauce). Worker would also be expected to clean preparation areas as well as vehicles that are used for the transport of products from kitchen to storage or other locations. In a limited manner, workers may be asked to assist with preparing food(s) (some basic cooking) that are sold for pickup or delivery from a central location (as opposed to the Employer's normal mobile food truck operation) while tracking inventory levels to ensure the Employer has the necessary levels prior to its peak season.

Special Requirements
Must receive training in food safety procedures - internal food certification.
1 week - not 1 month.
Work will be from either 6:00am until 2:00 pm OR 2:00pm until 10:00pm. Workers will work one shift per day.
