General Farm Worker

Job description

Perform duties like: Avocado grove management including irrigation, fertilization, weed mitigation, road maintenance, deadwood pruning, new tree planting and harvesting. Grape vineyard management including irrigation, fertilization, weed mitigation, branch pruning, bunch pruning, netting, and harvesting. General landscaping of the facilities. Assistance in farm projects: new irrigation piping, new valve installations, new storage shed construction. Work closely with the on-site team to maximize harvest yields of crops.

Workers will be weeding in the groves and vineyards. In the groves, this will be done with machinery such as tractor and bush hog. The workers will be using long handled hoes in the vineyards.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
