Job description
Duties may include: Operate commercial application equipment or agricultural tractor for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producer fields. Assist in applying crop production inputs to fields and growing drops according to recommended rates, procedures and following all pesticide labels. Record application data, set up material handling, blending, storage, transport of application equipment. Fill products for blending and delivery. Safely operate sprayers, floaters, ag tractors, and other application equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Responsible for inventory control and turn in application records on daily basis. Schedule and perform maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. Maintain service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle. Responsible for housekeeping and general maintenance of working areas. Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products. Adhere to safety rules and must adhere to EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures at all times & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.
Special Requirements
Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work.
