Job description

Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, spraying for flies/pests, assisting with vet visits, assisting with medication administration, and herding cattle. Calving duties include calving cows and bred heifers, occasionally lifting and carrying newborn calves, and weaning calves from cows. Employees will be operating various equipment including, but not limited to, tractors, front loaders, mowers, balers, and trucks with gooseneck cattle trailers connected. Duties include planting grass, tilling pasture, and cleaning pens conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment and fencing, regularly cleaning and servicing equipment, mixing feed, and lifting bags of mineral and hay bales. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Job will require workers performing duties outdoors during periods of light rain, heat, cold, or other conditions that would not prevent work from being performed. Job duties will require periods when workers will push, pull, sit, or walk for extended periods.
