Job description

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse and 45-2093 Farmworkers, Farm, Ranch, and Aquacultural Animals such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, corn, soybeans; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Build agricultural structures; Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies; Herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures; Monitor animals for illness, injury, or disease; Treat with medicine as necessary; Spread manure; Cover the feed piles with plastic and tires; Mark livestock to identify ownership and grade using brands, tags; Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, or physical condition; Move equipment or livestock from one location to another.
