Job Duties - Description of the specific services or labor to be performed:

Beekeeping duties include split, medicate, harvest honey, pollinate, re-queen, etc.
General farm work associated with all aspects of farming.
Farm field/shed sanitation duties includes mow grass, dig ditches, levees, fences, etc.
Minor maintenance/operation of farm equipment.
Workers with valid driver’s licenses may perform incidental driving duties such as driving company pickup trucks to outyards with hives to care for bees. Workers living in company-provided housing may drive themselves and other workers in company pickup trucks from the housing to the worksite or grocery store

Special Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications:

3 months of experience in Commercial Beekeeping is required. Specific requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and able to use hand tools, including cutting knives. Workers may be stung.

In order to drive company vehicles, employees must possess valid drivers license (state issued) and have a clean driving record.

All employees in this position (H-2A as well as corresponding domestic workers), will be given the opportunity to obtain a drivers license (DL). The DL is not a pre-hire job requirement. No job applicant will be denied an employment opportunity due to a lack of a DL at the time of application and/or hiring. Further, no worker (H-2A or corresponding domestic worker) will be terminated for failure to obtain a DL.

Must be able to work under conditions where skin and clothing become heavily soiled with mud, water, grease, etc.
