Job description

Attend to live farm animals such as cattle by assisting with birthing of baby calves from mother cows and heifers; checking health of cattle, pulling sick cows/calves and administering medication for survival; Assist with weaning calves; Sort calves to be taken to market; Operate farm equipment for tilling, cultivating, fertilizing, planting grain & silage commodities primarily for feed; Swath, rake, bale, chop, transport crops to storage areas; Work with farming and harvesting equipment; Inspect, maintain, service, repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, irrigation, fences; Move equipment or livestock from one location to another manually or using trucks or carts; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals.
