Job description

Operate field equipment such as self- propelled sprayers, to spread fertilizer on farms. Prior to fertilizing fields, prepare by pumping water, anhydrous ammonia, and other chemicals/fertilizers from our storage tanks into the nurse tanks, calculating blends, batching the blends, pumping the blends into storage tanks on vehicles, and bringing the vehicles, fertilizer, and equipment to fields. Employee will need to clean, check, and maintain storage locations on customer • s farms as well as the employer owned headquarter. Complete routine repairs and maintenance on all equipment including oil changes, changing cultivator shovels, cleaning and greasing equipment, cleaning and checking grain bins to name a few. Employee will need to help with annual testing and documentation of Crop Protection Product containers as well as filling and cleaning calibrating and repair of CPP containers. Preventative maintenance and repairs on the delivery of agronomy rolling stock used by customers. Cleaning and maintenance on weighing devices used to weigh products.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
