Heavy Duty Truck Driver

Job description

The employer has harvested crops such as soybeans and corn the are contract with delayed delivery for 2024. He needs a worker to drive a Heavy Duty tractor with trailer to deliver these crops. He will need to maintain his truck and trailer with minor repairs, keep it washed and waxed and daily over all checks for air in the tires, seal leaks, and fluid levels of all gauges. A daily log book will need to be kept as well as the scale tickets for each load to be kept a record of and entered into log books.

The worker will be responsible to to keep the loading areas free of debris and snow. This may include snow removal with a pay loader or skid steer. The worker needs to be familiar with setting up, operating and taking down augers for loading trailer purposes. Must be able to work independently after given instructions. Must be self motivated and be able to work with other people.

Worker must have a current driver's license or obtain one within 30 days. No smoking in the trucks, equipment, or housing. No alcohol beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged. No texting and all phone calls should be business related only.
Must have 6 months of Heavy duty Truck Driving experience.
Must be able to read, understand and write English for daily record keeping and safety reasons.
Must have common knowledge of operating a Heavy Duty Tractor / Trailer.

Special Requirements
