Job description
Perform service and maintenance on farmer-owned agricultural equipment and passenger vehicles. Duties of Agricultural Service Technician (Seasonal) include but are not limited to: Perform basic service repairs and maintenance on farmer-owned agricultural equipment and passenger vehicles. Obtain a description of symptoms from the vehicle owner or shop manager. Identifying vehicle problem sources and have familiarity with techniques and services need to make repairs/replacements. Perform tire repairs and tire replacement for agricultural equipment and passenger vehicles. Replacing vehicle fluids (transmission, oil, coolant, windshield wiper fluid, gasoline, diesel). Use tools such as pneumatic wrenches, hand tools, machine tools (grinding machines), jacks and hoists. Must be able to handle and perform the repair and replacement of tires. Have or improve knowledge in using a skid loader, telehandler, forklift, and accessories.
Special Requirements
Minimum of (3) months experience required. To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain an appropriate driver's license
(class D) within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable
driving record. No high school diploma/GED required. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
