Job description

Attend to cows and feed, water, let out to pasture, manage weight and nutrition; maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops and/or attend to cows as needed; remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds for best use for cattle; remove rocks from field; minor repairs and maintenance to farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; paint/repair/maintain farm structures; replace/repair fencing; perform general cleanup and maintenance for farm areas ( to include mowing and other yard maintenance) so as to keep suitable for cattle. Maintain appropriate cattle record, care for the livestock for purposes of health and wellness. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned are provided to the worker, without charge or deposit. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns but will not reduce the 3/4 guarantee over the life of the contract. Housing is provided at no cost for workers who cannot reasonably return to permanent residence at end of workday. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test (at no cost to the worker), as part of fitness for duty and workers safety. Drug testing relates to safety assurance in a working environment. Testing positive or failure to comply with the random drug testing may result in immediate termination from employment. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
