Job description

We have a grazing and lambing operation. Lamb in the spring - graze and grow out lambs through the summer on irrigated pasture, and put up hay. Lambs are sorted and sold in the fall along with breeding ewes to lamb in the spring. We operate center pivot and traveling irrigators during the summer and move livestock from paddock to paddock through the grazing season. Employee will assist with lambing and grow out period for seasonal lamb production along with seasonal irrigation and forage harvesting duties. Employee will assist with all aspects of lambing and forage harvesting, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive walking, pushing, pulling, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company HR hiring practices as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
