Job description
Employees will work for a large row crop operation. They must have mechanical skills and be able to repair farm equipment, both in shop and on site. Other duties will include but is not limited to: maintenance and repair of center pivot irrigation systems, fence maintenance, and driving large pick up trucks with trailers. Workers must be able to operate large, modern, GPS enabled tractor equipment. Employees must work as a team on all jobs. Drug screens will performed upon accident or incidence, failure or refusal of a drug test is grounds for immediate termination. Drug screens will be at the expense of the employer. Basic operator drivers license is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly. Workers must have 3 months of previous heavy, GPS guided farm equipment experience.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. During planting and harvest, workers will work 65-90 hours a week. Drug screens will performed upon accident or incidence, failure or refusal of a drug test is grounds for immediate termination. Drug screens will be at the expense of the employer.
