Job description

We are a medium/large row crop corn & soybeans operation. We use modern equipment and field guidance systems. Employee will assist with tilling, planting, spraying, harvesting, hauling, drying and storing on-site. We have hay production from March to November, which requires mowing, raking, baling, rowing and hauling. We also have a medium sized cow/calf and feedlot operation May-October. Employee will assist with fence maintenance, checking pasture cattle using side-by-sides and identifying health issues. The cow/calf operation is seasonal as the cattle are only on pasture from May-October. Employee will pick up field rocks using skid loader or wheel loader, maintain lawns and general acreage upkeep, and handling of small square bales. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license.
