Job description

On employer owned/operated farm: We need employees to start in February with field prep for the spring planting. Field prep includes laying tiling to control water in fields, repairing/removing and repairing fencing, dirt work, building terraces, and create and maintain drainage ditches. All this will need to be completed before our normal spring planting starts. During the spring employees will assist with raising, spraying, harvesting and hauling corn, soybeans, and wheat. Employees will need to operate combines, tractors, tractors and other farm equipment. Employees will complete routine maintenance on equipment and buildings. Service and repair equipment as needed. Complete duties as directed including but not limited to cleaning, shop work, yard work and other farm duties. When custom harvesting only: Operates self-propelled custom harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed crops. Adjusts speed cutter, blowers and conveyors and height of cutting head, using hand tools. Changes cutting head as appropriate for crop. Drives grain carts to transport produce to elevator or storage area. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Must have a regular driver's license. Employer will conduct post hire and random drug testing at employers expense to enforce a drug free workplace. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Job requires extensive sitting, pulling, and pushing. Require 3 months experience.
