Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop season. In April and may we start planting corn and soybeans. We then start spraying after planting. We will be haying May through September. Depending on the season we usually start chopping silage August. Employees will need to assist with planting crops, spraying crops and harvesting crops on our own fields. Employees will need to complete routine maintenance and repairs on tractors, trucks and other farm equipment. General farm duties include farm cleanup and welding. All these duties occur on our own farm for our own farming operation.

During the fall we need employees to operate combines to assist with custom harvesting for the clients listed on our itinerary. Employees will need to combine/chop and haul the harvested crop to storage locations.

Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must have a regular drivers license and be able to lift 50 lbs. Require 3 months experience.
