Job description
We operate a 2000-acre farm consisting of row crops (corn, soybeans and rice). We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season starting with planting and ending with harvesting. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, irrigation equipment, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive pushing or pulling, frequent stooping or bending over. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
