Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops.
Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to a tractor.
Till soil, rock picking; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment.
Drive and operate self-propelled combine.
Manual labor, drain excess water from crops, assist with irrigation of crops.
Put crops in bins as well as remove grain.
Chop weeds.
General lubrication, service (check fluids) and perform incidental repairs to farm machinery.
Maintain and clean agricultural building and yards.

Crops: corn and soybeans

Special Requirements

Minimum of three (3) months recent and verifiable experience is required for the job duties listed.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days following hire.
Job duties will be performed outside and workers will be exposed to extremely hot and humid conditions. Some job duties will require physical and manual labor and will require extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, or walking, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements.
Job duties might require workers to lift agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 60 lbs.
