Job description

Production of turkey duties include: check physical characteristics; observe general condition

and report illness; administer medicines and vaccines; mix feed/additives; and feed/water.

Planting and harvesting of organic corn and organic produce duties: plow, harrow and fertilize

soil; plant seeds; identify and remove diseased crop; and harvest crop. Bee Farming: check

hives for pests and observe overall health. Hay harvesting: harvesting, transporting and

storing. Help with honey harvesting and processing.

Workers may drive company vehicles to transport product to farmers market or clients.

Special Requirements

Must have 3 months experience working in crop(s) and/or agricultural activity identified in this job order.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Driver's license required to operate farm vehicles. Driving on farm is a job requirement. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently. No smoking or illegal weapons or controlled substances in the worksite or in the houses. Able to stoop, bend, and work in cold and wet conditions. Able to use tools such as pruning shears, knives, hand saws, weed eaters, hedgers, shovels. Safety use and training provided by employer. Workers must abide by Employer housing rules. Ability to communicate in English or Spanish is required for training and safety purposes. (i.e. Workers must listen to, understand and follow instructions of Employer supervisors and managers.)
