Job description
Planting, spraying, spreading, tending, harvesting, and tillage. Will operate tractors, skid-steers, forklifts, mowers, loaders, semi-tractors and ATVs. Operate, repair, and maintain grain storage facilities and seed/chem shed. Help track grain receiving and properly blend outgoing grain to comply with contracts. Inventory, pens, barn and feed trucks, and loaders. Assist in properly loading outgoing seed and load and maintain water trailer with proper inventory. Maintain and prepares all necessary report logs. Assist in calving cows and tag calves. Keep calving, treatment and general performance data. Feed and check cow/calves. Maintain and improve lot and pasture fence and crossings. Rotate cattle and paddock grazing. Clean, maintain and winterize water systems. Assist with sorting and treating cattle. Keep accurate feed sheets. Spread manure and maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of the farm. 3 months farm equipment operation required. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs for 25yds and work around the strong smell of manure.
