Job description

Performs row crop farm duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sprayer. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and routine mechanical repair to farm implements. General daily seasonal row crop farm duties. Operate equipment to unload grain to on farm storage bins. Loading trucks require some grain to be shoveled and the bin floor swept clean as the grain is being removed from the bottom of bin. May drive to town to pick up supplies.

Crops: Corn, Rice, Soybeans, Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
