Job description
We farm 7,000 acres of dryland wheat, corn, and millet in Eastern Colorado. We are a certified organic operation, so we till all of the land. We also own a small grain elevator that's located on the property. Employees need the ability to operate a tractor and perform general labor and maintenance activities. During harvest activities the employees will need to drive grain cart, and assist with grain loading and unloading. At the grain elevator, we will have the employees assist with general maintenance and grain loading and unloading. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance and experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire, random drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
