Job description

Duties may include: Assists in all areas of the handling of grain and grain products which may include but not be limited to truck and rail operations such as loading and unloading crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Operation of conveyance equipment that is utilized in the placement and transferring of grain and grain products. Responsible for handling grain (incoming and outbound), ensuring grain quality, and maintaining equipment. Uses proper aeration techniques to maintain grain quality and minimize shrinkage. Assures proper segregation of all inbound grain, performs and monitors effective blending of all outbound grain and remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks. Maintain cleanliness and order of handling areas and facility. Monitors equipment and either reports or corrects equipment failures. Attends safety training and safety meetings. Reports unsafe conditions or unsafe behavior immediately & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). drug testing will be conducted after hire at employer’s expense. Drug testing is required due to equipment use and safety regulations of the company

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 70lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Variable weather conditions may apply. Worker must be able to obtain a valid US Driver's License within 2 weeks of reporting to work. Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more and work at heights over 150 feet. Frequently exposed to dust, heat, cold and high noise level.
