Job description
We farm about 1500 acres of wheat, 2400 acres of corn, 3200 acres of soybeans, 2500 acres of hay. Employee will assist with tillage, and baling hay, transporting grain from field to bin at worksite location. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing crops and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employee will assist in spring calving starting in February. In the spring we need seasonal workers to assist with preparing fields for planting, attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, manure spreaders, operate other farm equipment, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking. Must be able to lift 100 lbs bales. No driver's license is required. Requires 3 months farm experience.
