Farm Worker

Job description

General farm labor, including but not limited to:

Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops, including corn, rice, and soybeans. Use and attach farm implements such as plows, discs, and drills to tractors. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and mechanical repairs to farm machinery.

Workers may receive salary increases and merit-based bonuses based upon merit, skill, and/or experience at the sole discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

3 months of farming experience required. Must have or be able to obtain driver's license within 30 days of hire. Due to the use of vehicles and heavy machinery, drug testing may be conducted post-hire at the employers expense and is not part of the interview process. All workers may be subject to mandatory testing if they have been involved in a reportable accident or upon reasonable suspicion that drug use is impacting job performance. Criminal background checks are conducted post-hire at the employers expense. Any worker found to have a criminal conviction, DWI, commits serious acts of misconduct, refuses to follow instructions, violates work rules, fails to perform job duties competently, or other lawful job-related reasons will be terminated.
