Job description
Row crop farming: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops.
Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to a tractor.
Till the soil, rock picking, plant and cultivate grain.
Assist with irrigation of crops and drain excess water from crops.
Operate heavy farming equipment like tractors, spray rig and track hoe.
Tow harvesting equipment.
General maintenance of equipment.
Manual labor: pick up and carry sacks of grain, load and unload trucks.
Crops: wheat and corn
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months verifiable experience is required.
Job duties require intense physical labor and will involve extensive pushing, pulling, sitting and walking, frequent stooping or bending over and repetitive movements. Work duties include lifting of agricultural tools, equipment and bags of grain that weigh up to 75 lbs.
Work is performed outside and workers will be exposed to hot and humid temperatures. Workers must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire.
