Job description

Workers will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of cattle and livestock operations on the farm. Duties will include monitoring, caring for, and raising livestock. Workers will be expected to feed, water, and check cattle daily. Assist in maintaining health and wellness of livestock by administering medication and vaccinations, assisting in seasonal birthing of calves if needed, cleaning livestock confinements, hauling manure, and preparing cattle for market. Workers will perform general farm maintenance throughout the property and will be responsible for pasture, livestock, and crop management. More specifically, assisting in the seasonal planting of grass, rotating livestock in pastures, and cutting and baling hay during the hay growing season. Workers will conduct inspections of fencing and perform repairs and maintenance as needed. General duties also include managing feed and hay supply to prepare for winter months. Inspecting, maintaining, cleaning, and repairing farm equipment and machinery as needed. Assisting in minor repair projects of livestock buildings, structures, confinements, and farm grounds may be required.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months of experience working with livestock required. Previous experience working on a farm required.
