Job description
We need seasonal employees to operate crop equipment, including heavy agricultural equipment, required to complete the project, including the operation and understanding of guidance systems (GPS). Employees will need to log machine hours, acres, quantities of bales, bushels, manure spread loads and fuel usage, etc. Employees will need to ensure equipment is clean, maintained and in safe operating condition. Assist with rock picking and snow removal if needed. Must be able to operate a variety of heavy agricultural equipment, including but not limited to tractors, combines, choppers, excavators, skid loaders, rock pickers, harvest and tillage equipment. Must have basic mechanical skills and agronomy knowledge. Haul harvested crops to storage locations. Able to work long hours during planting and harvest seasons. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may pay performance-based incentive bonuses at the end of the contract period at the employer's discretion. Employer may provide pay increases for longevity and experience.
Special Requirements
Must have a regular drivers license or equivalent. Must be able to lift 70 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather. Job requires extensive walking, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling and carrying objects. Require 3 months experience.
