Job description
Agricultural employee is required to work with many different types of farm machinery for soil preparation, crop planting and harvesting. Worker will be required to drive and control farm equipment to till soil, seed/plant, fertilize, spray pesticides, cultivate and harvest small grain and pulse crops. Employee is required to maintain and make minor repairs of the equipment they operate. Mechanical skills and experience are required to use equipment necessary to perform the tasks above. Worker will be required to perform routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm equipment; welding experience is preferred. The worker is also required to attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, sprayer, or harvester, to tractor, using mechanic’s hand tools; load and unload grain truck manually or using hand truck, loader, or transfer auger; weigh grain filled containers and record weights; and clean out grain bins. Minimal fencing will be required along with facility and grounds maintenance. Irrigation systems will be used. To work as a general farm laborer requires physical coordination, decision-making ability, mechanical aptitude and driving skills. The ability to listen to and follow verbal directions is imperative. The job entails working outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat, cold, wind dust, rain and snow). Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Worker is required to have a current driver’s license. Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges).Repetitive duties to be completed on a regular/daily basis
Drivers license required, 3 months experience is required.
Long/odd hours with split shifts required during harvest and seeding. Increased Wages and bonuses are possible depending on experience.

The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
